7th Annual Mudbug Fest a SUCCESS!

A big THANKS to all of you who came out on May 8th to HELP A KID & EAT A BUG! We had our largest attendance yet and raised MORE MONEY than ever before! Many of you have asked about our final headcount.  We thought it would be fun to share that and some other numbers with you .... Number of total registered guests - 258 which included 193 adults and 65 children The food at the event included: 600 lbs of crawfish 78 lbs of chicken 128 hot dogs & buns 40 lbs of potato salad 4 gallons of coleslaw 5 gallons of red beans and rice 5 gallons of home-made icecream over 600 home-made cookies 25 lbs of corn 25 lbs of potatoes 5 gallons of ice tea 5 gallons of lemonade 45 gallons of beer 22.5 liters of wine Pretty impressive, eh??? What's even more impressive is that David Snell, the owner of the Cajun Crawfish Co. DONATED the use of his cooking trailer and cooked all 600 lbs of crawfish for us!!!  Our David was actually able to roam around and visit with guests instead of standing over a pot all day!!!  THANK YOU Cajun Crawfish Co.!!! THANK YOU to those of you who volunteered your time & talents to make this event happen.  There is no paid staff behind the annual Mudbug Fests.  They are only possible because of all our wonderful volunteers! THANK YOU to Southern Drive for donating your musical talent again for the 4th year in a row!  THANK YOU also to the businesses and individuals who supported us as sponsors, raffle or silent auction item donors or by providing a service for our event. THANK YOU to Brent Kubesh for donating your time and talent for the 5th year in a row to design our Mudbgug Fest shirt and cup art!
